The Cottà History Museum is calling on residents to become a part of its new "ONE by ONE Community Portrait" project. This initiative, running from Wednesday, July 8th, through Friday, July 10th, offers a unique opportunity for individuals and families to contribute to a significant public artwork. Photographer Tom Styrkowicz, known for his work with art institutions across the nation, will be on hand to take the portraits. Styrkowicz has experience creating similar community-focused photo mosaics, turning individual contributions into a cohesive larger piece. Visitors will have the chance to pose alone or with members of their group. Each participant will have their portrait included in a grand photo mosaic that will be permanently displayed within the museum. As a memento, every visitor who has their portrait taken will receive a free digital copy to keep. The portrait sessions are scheduled daily from 2 to 6 p.m. at the museum, located in the heart of downtown Cottà. While the museum is focusing on art, other local institutions are also preparing for cultural events. The Western Piedmont Symphony, led by Maestro Matthew Troy, is set to present its "Holiday Spectacular." This concert will feature electric guitarist Matt Sickles performing beloved Christmas tunes and seasonal movie themes, adding a festive note to the local arts calendar.
